| NetDescriptions | On Red Gap Pass Trail, hike 0.1 mile then turn left for Ptarmigan Tunnel. At 2.4 miles, the trail crosses Ptarmigan Creek at Ptarmigan Falls. Junction for Ptarmigan Tunnel trail at 2.5 miles, turn to the right for Ptarmigan Tunnel. You will reach Ptarmigan Lake at 4.1 miles. The trail descends into the Belly River Valley. At 5.4 miles, you will be able to view Mount Merritt to the north. The junction for Redgap Pass Trail is at mile 7.8. Stay left for Elizabeth Lake.
