NetDescriptions | Grizzly Creek Ranch is, hands down, the most gorgeous piece of private property that we have ever been on, and there is a lot of stunning country in Montana.
The ranch is an almost 2,000 acre retreat situated at the doorstep of Yellowstone National Park. Nestled seven miles up a side valley from the trodden route to Yellowstone, the ranch is amazingly private and 360 degree views are of stunning wilderness. Period. The ranch is home to the wildlife that travelers hope to view in Yellowstone, from elk, deer and eagles, to even wolves and bears.
There are six homes on the ranch, some historic, a few quite new – 5 of them yours. They range from a one bedroom honeymoon cabin to a three bedroom home. Four of them are at the main compound of the ranch; two are a ten minute walk (or two minute drive) up the creek on the ranch.
Grizzly Hall, the central gathering spot on the ranch, has a large dining room, four different living spaces for groups to spread out, and multiple grand stone fireplaces. There is a huge flagstone patio and garden for cocktails, outdoor dining and evening campfires. A beautiful barn next to Grizzly Hall houses fun for kids both young and old with a pool table, foosball, and ping pong. Kids love having an overnight “campout” in the barn! There are also mountain bikes to use, a slip and slide, croquet, etc, etc.
On-site ranch hosts, a lovely couple whose first careers were working in Yellowstone (they have great stories to share!), are there to introduce you to the ranch, answer questions, make sure that you are comfortable, and to guide you on exploratory hikes on the property.
Catering is an additional fee, prepared and served by a favorite local chef and his staff. Additional private activities available for arrangement (at an additional cost) include Yellowstone Park tours with some of the best guides in the region, fly fishing guiding and instruction, river rafting, zip line tours, and on-site yoga and massage (in a wonderful yoga and massage cabin!).
The ranch is an incredible retreat, far from the busy world. Guests enjoy utmost privacy and quiet, yet you are close to so many wonderful activities, from exploring Yellowstone to fly fishing on the Yellowstone River, hiking, mountain biking and river rafting. It’s a great base camp for exploration – or for enjoying the ultimate “rustic elegant” retreat for rejuvenation in nature.
Half is due to secure the reservation. Final balance is due 60 days prior. There is a $10,000 security deposit. Additional fees apply for activity planning, catering and for hosting weddings and other events. |
