| NetDescriptions | Join Billy Maxwell as he puts on a special workshop where participants will learn about the history of bull boats, how they are made and then will be able to make a mini-bull boat. A bull boat is a useful small boat, usually made by American Indians and frontiersmen, made by covering a skeletal wooden frame with a buffalo hide.
This workshop will take place from 9:00 – 12:00 noon at the Kiwanis Pavilion. The cost for the workshop will be $50 per person and will be limited to 10 people. Billy Maxwell has a Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of Montana. Among his various experience, he has been a backcountry mule packer in the Bridger-Teton Wilderness area and a researcher/interpreter at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center in Great Falls, Montana. |
