| NetDescriptions | This is a great timber-beam cabin filled with warmth and charm. The cabin is nestled on the bank of the scenic Bitterroot River in a private, yet convenient location. Ideally situated in beautiful western Montana, just 20 minutes South of Missoula, Osprey Cabin is what Montana is all about.
This cabin/home was built in 2004 and has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The master suite has a queen bed, gas fireplace, satellite TV and bathroom. Located upstairs are two bedrooms. One has queen and twin beds and satellite TV. The other bedroom has two twin beds. Every bedroom in this cabin has its own private bathroom. The cabin comfortably sleeps 7 adults.
The spacious living/dining room area has vaulted ceilings, wood burning fireplace and is a great room design with the large tiled gourmet kitchen adjacent. The cabin is comfortably decorated in a western/fly fishing theme. It comes with a fully furnished kitchen, all linens, gas and charcoal BBQ grill, 3 TV's, high-speed satellite Internet service, washer and dryer. The owners have recently added an outdoor fire-pit and supply the wood.
Osprey Cabin sits on 10 acres bisected by Bitterroot River, and has a large yard to pursue outdoor activities. It has a full length covered porch facing the river. From the porch you can see the Sapphire Mountains, and the Bitterroot Mountains provide a scenic backdrop when viewing the cabin from the river. If you like amazing sunrises over the mountains, cool sunny days and night time skies filled with thousands of stars, you will love Osprey. Directly across the river is the Lee Metcalf National Wildlife Refuge. To our delight, wildlife abounds on the property with deer, turkey, Bald Eagle, otter and of course??..Osprey.
Our private access to the river offers outstanding wade fishing and floating options. This section of the Bitterroot harbors Cutthroat, Brown and Rainbow trout in abundance.
Whether you enjoy hiking, tubing the river, fishing, observing wildlife, toasting marshmallows on a night time fire, or simply napping on the porch, this is the perfect cabin for you and your family. For the winter sports enthusiast, Snowbowl and Lost Trail ski resorts are about a 1 hour drive away. Step out of your busy life and experience the Osprey life.
