Great Northern Powder Guides is the only premier cat skiing company in Northwest Montana. They make it possible to experience Montana's finest backcountry powder. It is the intent of Great Northern Powder Guides to bring a professional high level backcountry skiing experience to Montana, specifically the Northern Region of the Stillwater State Forest. At Great Northern Powder Guides the trailhead accessing their terrain in the upper Whitefish Range is directly in front of the offices, allowing clients to be skiing the powder in less than 30 minutes. Great Northern Powder Guides operates the Pisten Bully 200 and 300 model snowcats with a custom designed luxurious cabin that comfortably seats fourteen people with special functions that create a unique ride for all of their guests. Another option is the Steep and Deep Cat available as a private cat for more vertical and more challenging terrain. Great Northern Powder Guides are dedicated to achieving success as the premier cat skiing operation in North America. By providing a premier cat skiing company to the public, Great Northern Powder Guides is promoting and supporting the current and future growth of recreational interests and needs in the state.
