NetDescriptionsTrail Begins: Trail 131 Seymour Creek Trail Ends: Trail 124 Middle Fork LaMarche Creek There is a stock ramp, hitch rail and a toilet at the trailhead for Trail 131 at Seymour Creek. On the eastern half of Chub Creek Trail 132 is a good grazing meadow in Chub Creek and also where Trail 170 junctions with Trail 131. The trail leads to an old mining site with several log cabins and mine tailings west of Chub Creek. From the junction of Trail 131, Chub Creek Trail (132) crosses Seymour Creek and climbs a very steep grade through a dense stand of lodgepole pine and alder brush towards Chub Creek and will level off before reaching the creek. After crossing Chub Creek the trail again climbs at a steady rate, passing old mine diggings and some cabins before topping out near the junction with Trail 170. From here the trail levels a short distance before dropping steeply down a rocky pitch for 1 mile into the East Fork of LaMarche Creek where it junctions with the East Fork LaMarche Creek Trail heading up LaMarche Creek. After the junction the trail crosses LaMarche Creek on a ford then contours around the ridge separating the East and Middle Forks of LaMarche Creek passing through stands of lodgepole pine again and scattered whitebark pine. A mile past the ford it junctions with Trail 170 the East Fork LaMarche Trail that heads down a long dry ridge to Sundance Lodge and Trail 126. Shortly after this junction the trail again drops sharply over a rocky trail to the Middle Fork of LaMarche Creek and its junction with Trail 124. USGS Map: Lower Seymour, Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness
