| Long Description | <p>Boyd, near Roberts, was named for John Boyd, a homesteader on Rock Creek. It became a rural independent station in 1965. This is an irrigated area with crops watered by melting snow from the Beartooth Mountains. Boyd serves as a trading center for farmers in the wide countryside up to Shane Ridge.
