The trail runs westward, following the Middle Fork, and then at .8 mile there is a junction with Nyack Creek trail after the bridge over Nyack Creek. Stay left for Loneman Lookout. At 1.2 miles, junction with Loneman Lookout Trail, then turn right for lookout. The trail then ascends to Loneman Lookout.
