NetDescriptionsWoods Bay is a state recreation area located in northwest Montana on the Flathead Lake. Flathead Lake is the largest natural body of fresh water between the Mississippi River and the Pacific Ocean; therefore there are unlimited water sports to be enjoyed. Fishing, boating, sailing, swimming, scuba diving, windsurfing, and virtually any water sport you choose. Woods Bay is intended for day use only. It provides visitors with a concrete boat ramp and dock; access for trailers (maximum trailer length 30 ft) and latrine (ADA accessible). This state recreation area is located near the town of Bigfork, Montana where there are restaurants, stores, and postal services.
