NetDescriptionsToday's adventures and tomorrow's memories. The Hideaway combines a working ranch and guest ranch into a splendid vacation for outdoors enthusiasts. With an outdoor setting of over 25,000 acres, guests may enjoy horseback riding, fishing, gold panning, wildlife tours, hiking, cattle drives, scenic tours, historical tours, and swimming. The Hideaway hosts just a few guests each week allowing much more flexibility in activities guests may enjoy. Your host, the Flynn families, arrived in Montana in the 1860s as gold miners and have ranched in the Townsend area since 1870. Check our website for more details. The Hideaway also hosts Elk, Mule Deer, and Whitetail Deer hunters during the Fall for both Archery and Rifle seasons. Over the years, just over 50% of our hunters have gone home with an elk while 75% of our hunters have harvested a buck with at least three points on one side of an antler.
