NetDescriptionsTrout Lake Trail is a 4 mile hike (one-way) into remote Trout Lake located in the Camas Creek drainage. The Trout Lake Trailhead begins not too far west of the Lake McDonald Ranger Station. The trail has a 2,100 foot gain and loss of elevation, climbing Howe Ridge before dropping down to Trout Lake. Most common is to hike out and back, but there are two other options to make much longer loop hikes. Begin at Trout Lake Trailhead.
