NetDescriptions | Glacier's Back Door - Just two (2) miles from Glacier National Park's west entrance!
3BR, 2BA, Sleeps up to 8, Quiet Neighborhood close to all things Glacier!
Nestled in the pines, our home is spacious, secluded, and the perfect place to begin and end your daily adventures in and around Glacier National Park. We are located just two miles from the park's west entrance, so you can beat the crowds and get an early start hiking, biking, or driving the world renowned Going to the Sun Road. The 2.5 million acre Flathead National Forest is only a quarter of a mile from our home and offers hundreds of miles of single track mountain biking and almost 2,500 miles of hiking trails. The Forest also boasts three designated Wilderness areas (The Bob Marshall, The Great Bear, and the Mission Mountain Wilderness areas). If guided whitewater rafting or fishing adventures are in your plans, we are located within a quarter mile of three rafting guide services. Several of these companies also rent bicycles and backpacking gear, and serve food and beverages at on-site cafes.
At the end of your busy day, decompress on our front porch, grill up some steaks on the barbecue, or hang out by the fire pit in our secluded backyard. We even have a swing set and wooden fort for the kids. We have internet and good cellular coverage so you can keep in touch with the modern world from our rural Montana hideaway.
Our home is fully stocked with the basics as well as some extras. No need to buy most spices and condiments, or laundry and dish cleaning supplies. All you'll need to bring is your menu and the food. Our home has three bedrooms, a laundry area, two bathrooms, a living room upstairs, and a family room downstairs. We strive to provide all the amenities you might have in your own home, with some Montana extras. For those lucky enough to arrive in late July or early August, wild huckleberries abound on our property and on the millions of acres of federal land surrounding us.
Even though our home is off the beaten path, guided outdoor adventures, equipment rentals, helicopter tours, and restaurants are close by. A paved bicycle and walking path leading into Glacier National Park is just a few hundred yards from our front door. |
