Travel south through the Bitterroot Valley as far as Lost Trail and Chief Joseph Passes while enjoying the grace and majesty of the Bitterroot peaks. Venture east to historic Butte, setting for the Montana Folk Festival in July, or the delightful town of Phillipsburg, home of the Sapphire Gallery. For bicyclists, the scenic Bitterroot Trail extends from Missoula through Hamilton and provides a safe, paved surface to explore the Bitterroot Valley. The Trail is minutes away from home.
