| NetDescriptions | The Hideout is an exclusive buffalo guest ranch located on 300 secluded acres with its own private fishing lake. The entire house has been newly remodeled. The main floor has the master bedroom and bath with a queen bed. Also on the main floor is the kitchen, dining area, living room and half bath with laundry facilities. There is a spacious deck off this level. The upstairs has two bedrooms with queen beds and a third bedroom with a bunk bed. There is a full bathroom upstairs with separate vanity area. There is an amazing view of the Canadian Rockies, Lake Koocanusa and our private 11 acre lake from almost every room. The kitchen comes fully equipped with microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher and outdoor barbeque. Flat screen HD TV in master bedroom and living room.
We also have 2 apartments above our barn available as vacation rentals. Each apartment has 1 bedroom/ 1 bath with full kitchens and all amenities in 1,050 sq ft. They sleep 1-2 guests in a queen bed. Each apartment has it's own amazing view- Canadian Rocky View or Private Lake View.
Our private lake is stocked with rainbow trout for catch and release fishing, and swimming is available at your own risk.
Our buffalo herd can often be seen from the house. We usually have about 50 head of buffalo, and you can sometimes hear their thundering hooves as they run. The baby buffalo are born in May-June, and they are sooo adorable!
It is a 5 minute drive to Lake Koocanusa and Eureka where there are many shops, golf courses, restaurants and bars. It is also just 10 minutes to the Canadian Border, 50 minutes to Whitefish or 2 hours to Glacier National Park. |
