NetDescriptionsIf you are looking for a Montana vacation rental where you can get away from it all and enjoy the solitude and quiet of a mountain cabin, you are looking in the right place. This two bedroom, two bath, one level cabin is located on a one acre picturesque lot in the historic mining town (and now an Official US Registered Ghost town) of Pony, Montana, in the Tobacco Root Mountains. It has a fenced yard and North Willow Creek runs through the back yard. View to the west is of Hollowtop and the Tobacco Root Mountains. View to the north is the remains of the Elling-Morris Stamp Mill built in 1883 to process ore. You can sit by the creek in the backyard and enjoy the mountain air. It is about 2 miles to the trailhead where you can hike, mountain bike, or ATV into the Tobacco Root Mountains and/or into several mountain lakes. It is about a two mile drive to Cataract Reservoir where there is fishing, or a short drive to public access on the Madison or Jefferson Rivers, or to nearby Harrison or Ennis Lake. The Pony Bar is within walking distance, and there is a small diner 6 miles away in Harrison. There is a selection of dining establishments in Ennis and other local areas, all within 30 miles. Bedrooms and bathrooms: There are two bedrooms and two baths with showers. The master bed is a log frame double bed. The second bedroom also has a double bed.
