| NetDescriptions | This comfortable Lakefront home is conveniently located between the quaint towns of Lakeside and Somers on the North end of Flathead Lake. It is the perfect spot to base from while you explore the Flathead Valley and Glacier National Park.
The town of Kalispell is an easy 10-minute drive to the North. Glacier National Park is 45 miles away. Take a day trip to one of the most spectacular places in the Rocky Mountains for hiking, sightseeing, taking pictures or Whitewater rafting. Don't forget to get some huckleberry ice cream while you are there.
The town of Whitefish and Whitefish Ski Resort is 21 miles to the North. The adorable town of Bigfork with its live theater and specialty shops is 10 miles to the East.
Or just stay put and enjoy the in your face VIEWS, wrap around deck, barbeque, hanging swing and massage chair. Or, walk down to the lake for a dip in the water and enjoy swimming, lounging and the lakeside fire pit(great for roasting smores and hot dogs). You may rent a boat, wave runner or sea kayaks in the town of Lakeside or Somers.
The National Bison Range, hunting, horseback riding, biking, water slides and hiking in the Jewel Basin and hundreds of other places are also in the area.
Like to Golf? Golf Digest named the Flathead valley a top 50 golf course destination. There are nine championship golf courses in the area.
This is a great location for wintertime with Whitefish Mountain Resort and Blacktail Ski Resort close by. There is also x-country skiing, snowmobiling, dog sledding, ice-skating and ice fishing.
The home sits on over an acre and has a spectacular view of Flathead lake and the mountains. The lake frontage is about 18 feet wide and is a deck over the water with a ladder going down to the water. There are lounge chairs and a fire pit for your enjoyment. Wood is down by the fire pit. There is not a boat dock. If you plan to bring or rent a boat, you will need an anchor.
The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed with great views out to the lake. The other room is very large and has a queen sized bed and a full sized bed. The living room has a queen sized hide-a-bed couch so the total the home sleeps is 8 people on beds. I do have a comfortable Costco inflatable mattress or a fold up mat that are available by request.
There is a TV in the living room and in the master bedroom. Cable is hooked up to both TVs and both have DVD and VHS players. There is a video/DVD library in the TV hutch you are welcome to use. A computer is available for guests to use along with Wi-Fi internet access.
Located in the living room is a message chair that may be used while looking out over the beautiful view.
I have little kids so the home has some kid toys, books and DVDs. I also have a high chair, booster seat and crib available by request.
The upstairs unit is about 1,500 square feet. It has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and comfortable living & dining areas. There is a year round tenant in a downstairs apartment. He has his own entrance. |
