NetDescriptions | The Riverfront House is a beautiful, fully furnished, 2600 square foot, 4 bedroom/3.5bath home on the banks of the Beaverhead River, southwestern Montana's blue ribbon trout stream. Its open beam great room combines a fully stocked kitchen, dining area, bumper pool table, and living area with a massive stone fireplace, all looking out through huge windows and across an enormous two-level deck to the river just casting distance away. All four bedrooms feature high ceilings, and the master has its own fireplace, bath, and walk-in closet. There is bedding for two in each bedroom, and a futon couch in the living room converts to a double bed. Other sleeping options are available on request. Sleeps ten or more. There is a laundry room with washer and dryer and a mud room for changing gear and cleaning fish. Park one car in the garage and more vehicles outside.
For entertainment, the house has satellite TV with DVR and Pay Per View TV along with a DVD player. The sound system has speakers both inside and on the deck, which has its own furniture plus a fire pit and a propane barbeque. Surrounding the house are three acres of lawn that includes an osprey nest and a horseshoe pit. You have access to two and a half miles of the Beaverhead with many prime holes and thousands of trout up to 22 inches long or more. For variety walk seven minutes to Poindexter, a Beaverhead tributary and fly fishing destination spring creek. Or walk a few minutes more to Tash Pond, loaded with lunkers, and enjoy a special day rate discount. Only a short drive away are Clark Canyon Reservoir and more of southwestern Montana's legendary trout rivers - the Big Hole, the Ruby, and the Madison - plus many smaller creeks. Hunters have it just as good with loads of ducks and upland game birds, plus elk, deer, and antelope only a few miles away.
The Riverfront House is located three miles outside of Dillon, a town of 4,000 people with fly shops, restaurants, stores, and all the other necessary amenities and is considered by many to be Montana's fishing and hunting capital. Put your boat in at the house and float the famous 'Tash-to-trash' run to town, year-round. The house is a short drive from prime elk, deer, and other big game hunting and only minutes from duck and pheasant hunting. With mountains all around for snowmobile and ATVing, plus skiing at Maverick Resort just forty minutes away, the Riverfront House is at the center of Montana's recreation opportunities - and a truly great place to enjoy when you're not outdoors.
