| NetDescriptions | Since the beginning of time, diners have been in search of that unique, out-of-the-way restaurant where locals gather because the food is good, the prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere inviting. This isn't that place, but back in the 1940s the Chalet Bar in Lakeside (now Spinnaker) was rumored to be the hang-out spot of some of Montana's most notorious mountain men, explorers, rugged individualists and entrepreneurs. Modern day pioneers seek out the seasons, clean air, pure water and small town friendliness, all of which they can find in Lakeside. Today, the Spinnaker, renowned for fresh burgers, delicious steaks, and great pizzas, is easy, comfortable and a place where business is settled over a drink and a handshake. Local and tourists alike say that the Spinnaker reminds them of "Cheers" meets "Northern Exposure". The prices are cheap, the beer is cold and the food is frequently voted as some of the best in the valley. Our fresh, never frozen burgers won "Best Burger in the Flathead Valley" in 2009. |
