NetDescriptionsMontanaFair is an agricultural celebration in the historic tradition of fairs and the region's largest event. Held at MetraPark in Billings, MontanaFair celebrates for nine days. Nearly 10,000 people will earn cash and ribbons for their entries which range from beer, wine, pickles, crocheting, horticulture, horses, cattle, goats, sheep, pigs, rabbits, pickles, to hobbies, and arts and crafts. Fair hours are 12 noon to 12 midnight daily. The Thomas Carnival operates the midway featuring 35 to 40 rides plus games and a shady park to accommodate families for kid's rides. Stages around the grounds provide free entertainment including music, comedy, kid's shows, and the best of local talent. Food choices are often the main attraction featuring the traditional corn dog, 'Viking on a Stick', funnel cakes, caramel apples, fresh lemonade, and beer gardens, not to mention a KCBS sanctioned Montana State BBQ Championship! There will be concerts during the opening weekend as well as Supercross and PRCA Rodeo throughout the week. Show tickets include gate admission. Gate tickets are priced at: Kids 5 & under: free, 6-12 & 65 plus: $5, 13-64 years: $8. Purchase the Value Pass for $55 and receive admission to all 7 shows and all 9 days of fair!
