NetDescriptionsKootenai River Campground offers shady pull-through RV sites with fire pits and picnic tables. A grassy tent area can accommodate either an individual family or group camping. Large, clean restrooms with showers are provided. If you prefer, stay in one of our charming cabins. Our large family cabin accommodates up to six individuals. Other cabins accommodate two or three guests. All contain refrigerators, fans and heaters. Our camp store has a wide variety of food and drinks as well as ice and firewood. We have an excellent selection of beers and wine and carry popular camping supplies and gifts. Kootenai River Campground provides an outstanding travel experience, both for those passing through on their way to another location or for those planning to stay and experience the wonders of this wilderness area. Located on the Kootenai River, the campground and cabins are a fisherman's dream. Brook, Bull, Rainbow, and Cutthroat Trout as well as Kokanee Salmon are all present in the Kootenai. Numerous streams and lakes dot the surrounding area where Perch, Bass, Northern Pike, and Redband Trout can be found. Few places offer the variety of outdoor recreation, in a pristine wilderness setting, as this part of Montana. Within a short drive of the campground, a visitor can view Kootenai Falls, Yaak Falls, or walk the trail at Ross Creek Cedars. For the more adventurous spirit, miles of trails in the Kootenai National Forest and Cabinet Mountains Wilderness provide access to remote scenic wonders. Bear, Elk, Moose, Deer, Bighorn Sheep, Owls and Eagles all inhabit this mountainous area. The towns of Troy and Libby, Montana and Bonners Ferry, Idaho are just a short drive away with many shops, restaurants, farmers markets and summer events. Drop by on your way to Glacier or Yellowstone, or make Kootenai River Campground your vacation destination. We look forward to your visit! Offers Propain
