Hughes Creek was the site of early placer gold mining. At an elevation of 4,500 feet, the campground encompasses 6 acres. There are 27 campsites with access to water and restrooms, as well as a garbage removal service. The West Fork of the Bitterroot River runs along this campground providing fishing opportunities. The maximum recommended trailer length for the area is 40 - 58 feet. Pets are allowed, but dogs must be on leashes. Please limit your stay to 14 days and a small fee is required. Season of operation depends upon weather conditions and accessibility. |
