NetDescriptionsBrett Thuma Gallery: Fine Art for the Discerning Collector Brett Thuma Gallery is located in Twin Birch Square in the quaint village of Bigfork near the shores of Flathead Lake. Brett has lived and worked in Bigfork since 1990 and has visited Montana since childhood and the special moments he's experienced often show up in his paintings. Brett creates many of his paintings in a studio within the gallery, allowing patrons to see works in progress and ask questions. Brett also does commissioned projects, and his art graces the walls of private homes and businesses. Most of Brett's realistic paintings are focused on North American subjects that often include landscapes, wildlife, flyfishing, and birds. Living in "the Last Best Place" allows Brett to observe and capture nature's stories from direct observation. The gallery also contains work from other artists including bronzes by Bob Scriver, Cody Houston, and giclee prints by Karen Noles. A variety of jewelry, gifts, wood inlay, and many other items make it a popular destination for travelers and art collectors alike. Considerable effort is expended to have as many items as possible that are made in the U.S.A., with most being made in Montana. When he is away from the easel, Brett spends some of his time working on native plant restoration projects he's initiated in the Bigfork area. His wish is that people pay more attention to native plant communities in their own yards. He is also a frequent contributor to a variety of organizations - often including conservation issues. Stop by the Brett Thuma Gallery and find that special piece of art to make your home or office complete.
