DirectionsA string of 5 small towns make up the Greater Ruby Valley Chamber of Commerce. Exit I-90 at Whitehall and head south about 20 miles to our farthest community, Silver Star. Continue along the Jefferson River another 8 miles to Twin Bridges. Or, exit I-15 at Dillon, and head north 30 miles on Hwy 41 to Twin. Heading east towards Virginia City, in 9 miles you'll reach our largest town, Sheridan. Continue along 287 for another 8 miles to Laurin, home of the infamous "Robbers Roost". In another 2 miles you'll reach our final town, Alder, gateway to the Upper Ruby, and Ruby Reservoir. View a map of a 125 mile driving loop here: https://rubyvalleychamber.com/community/ As a group of volunteers, we have no office or phone. However, we do have a beautiful, brand-new secure website, chock-full of local information, and a complete directory of our members businesses and services. A contact is listed for each of our Directors--including a couple of phone-numbers. Use our Contact page. We'd love to hear from you, and will respond promptly.A string of 5 small towns make up the Greater Ruby Valley Chamber of Commerce. NetDescriptionsIf you enjoy the outdoors, and a relaxed friendly atmosphere, you'll love the Ruby Valley. Surrounded by 7 mountain ranges and 4 blue-ribbon rivers, the valley is a favorite of fly-fishers and hunters. Cyclists are thrilled to discover the free Bill White bike camp along the river. Families and visitors enjoy camping, hiking, photography, rodeo events, car shows, gem hunting, and historical pursuits. The Ruby Valley Brewery and public swimming pool in Sheridan are summer hotspots. Experience the West on an honest-to-goodness ranch, or treat yourself to one of our fabulous Bed and Breakfasts. Order a custom cowboy hat, or go right to the source for the finest hand-crafted fly rods in the country. Open space abounds in this agricultural area of large cattle ranches and farms. Keep your eye out for wildlife--and for local cowboys trailing cattle up the Ruby. Leisurely browse our interesting museums and art studios, and get a look at the historical Montana Children's Center. Visit the weekly Farmer's Markets, or one of the local gardens. The Greater Ruby Valley is small-town America at its finest. The Greater Ruby Valley Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture represents 4+ small towns and over 150 members from local businesses, ranches, and organizations. Our mission is to bring our businesses together to build a stronger community. Membership dues go directly back into the community through support of various projects and event sponsorships: Twin Bridges and Sheridan Christmas Strolls, Sheridan Days, the Twin Bridges Floating Flotilla, and more. The biennial Fireman's Ball supports three volunteer fire departments in the communities. Website and social media management, publications, promotional events, and advertising are paid for, managed, and maintained with member dues, and by a great team of volunteers.
